Blueridge Elementary School Choir (2001
- 2003)
The
Blueridge Elementary School Choir is privileged to once
again be part of The Magic of Christmas." In
addition to The Magic of Christmas, the choir has
been involved in a number of other exciting events over
the past years, including the Mad About Mozart series hosted
by the Vancouver Symphony, and the Opening Ceremonies for
the B.C. Winter Games, the Carl Orff Canada National Conference
and the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival. Participation
in the Blueridge Choir is voluntary, and the choir owes
its success to the enthusiasm, dedication and talents of
the 150 grade 4 - 7 students who willingly devote their
time and energy to this group. The Blueridge Elementary
School choir hopes that you enjoy tonight's performance
and wishes you and your families all the best at Christmas
and throughout the year.
Michele
Denny has been the music specialist and choir director
at Blueridge Elementary for 11 years. The Blueridge
music program incorporates voice, movement, drama and instrumentation
to introduce children to the whole spectrum of music education.
Michele is past president of the North Vancouver
Music Educators Association and served as a member of the
North Vancouver School District Fine Arts Leadership Team.
She would like to thank Joanne Mauro for her constant
support as Choir Assistant, Arlie Thompson, her Principal
and Accompanist and all her colleagues at Blueridge without
whom a performance such as this would not be possible.
