Jim Salmon - Percussion (1994-2003)

Jim (a.k.a. Fish), "a master of percussion," has been playing congas for thirty years. He is the inventor of the Jestick: dubbed "the violin of the percussion arts," it is a clever combination of a linear tambourine, a quiro, and claves. Jim has trained thousands of humans working in every style of music on the Jestick rhythm course, including Santana, the Grateful Dead, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Toto & Dido to name only a few. Jim has toured every inch of our country with Canadian troubadour Valdy, and many parts of the United States with family entertainer Norman Foote. He currently operates a video production company and a production design company in West Vancouver.
