Monique
Creber is a multi-talented producer, consultant, teacher,
keyboardist, arranger and vocalist with more than 20 years of
experience in all aspects of the music industry. Before moving
to Vancouver in 1993, she owned and managed a successful 500-student
music school and store in her home town of Winnipeg, where she
also began producing the Magic of Christmas in 1986. As a consultant,
she has assisted more than 50 music schools from coast to coast
in training teachers and administrators, and has also trained
directors from music schools as far away as Japan, Australia,
New Zealand and the UK. She is a veteran vocalist; much sought-after
both for live performances and session work in a wide variety
of styles, from pop and jazz to Brazilian, rock and musical theatre.
With her husband Michael, she currently runs Creber Music Corporation,
a multi-faceted music production company and school based in West

Michael Creber is one of the West Coast's most sought-after musicians, both on stage and in the recording studio. His wide-ranging career embraces many styles of music including jazz, rock, pop, country and folk, and includes live performance, session work, production and composition for film, radio and television. He has recorded and toured internationally with the Irish Rovers, k.d. lang and the Reclines, and family entertainer Raffi, with whom he has written and produced three albums including the Grammy-nominated and Juno Award-winning Bananaphone. His credits as a musical director include You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris, Tapestry: The Music of Carole King, and of course the Magic of Christmas since its first Vancouver show in 1994. Melanie Thompson was born and raised in Ottawa, and moved to Vancouver in 1999 to do her MA in cultural history, for which she studied the role of culture in the formation of identity and community. She currently works as a freelance publicist, writer and production coordinator specializing in arts-related endeavours. Recent and current projects include media relations for the World Peace Forum, production of Helping Hands: West Coast Artists for UNICEF and The Magic of Christmas for Creber Music, and publicity for a wide variety of clients including the Songwriters' Association of Canada, Laudate Singers, the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra, Blackbird Theatre (with Ellie O'Day) and Root Cellar Records.
